Hey, As if Halo New Blood wasn't amazing enough as it was! We now have another FOUR halo books coming out this year:
Grimbrother released this in a blog article on HaloWaypoint.
Halo: Hunters in the Dark by New York Times bestselling author Peter David – a full-length novel on sale June 16, 2015
Halo: Saint’s Testimony by 343 Industries Franchise Development Director Frank O’Connor – a digital single on sale July 27, 2015
Halo: Last Light by New York Times bestselling author Troy Denning – a full-length novel on sale September 7, 2015
Halo: Shadow of Intent by New York Times bestselling author Joseph Staten – a digital-first novella on sale December 7, 2015! Halo: Hunters in the Dark and Halo: Last Light will be full novels while Halo: Saint’s Testimony and Halo: Shadow of Intent will be releasing as digital copies only. That is the Joseph Staten who wrote so much of the Halo lore, he recently left Bungie over a disagreement about Destiny's grimore cards. YES!!!!This is mere speculation but Halo: Hunters in the dark may be about Spartan Locke as we know his specialization is that of 'Hunter', We might possibly get to know who his squad is and maybe confirm the speculation that it could be Buck and Romeo.
Halo: Saint's Testimony written by 343 Industries Franchise Development Director Frank O’Connor, it is about an articficial intelligence. Frank said it is "about the nature of Ai itself" so we can assume he means the philosophical side of what conscience is.
Halo: Last Light...I have no idea maybe about the fall of a planet or a prequel about the forerunner's death, I don't know. Halo: Shadow of Intent we have a fair bit of knowledge on, it is the ship of the shipmaster Rtas'Vadum from Halo 2 and Halo 3. It was the flag ship of the fleet of Retribution, This is the Arbiters fleet. I can speculate a part of the plot , after the war ONI sent 2 prowler class ships to spy on this fleet. Rtas'Vadum discovered this and destroyed the ships... perhaps some ONI tension. Frank went on to say in his interview with Grimbrother :
" Everything you read this year is soil from which surprises will spring, many of them in Halo 5. I just watched a cinematic that made me tear up a little. But also made me proud of the scope of the worlds our writers and authors have helped build. And there’s lots more to come."
On the post we can see one of the book covers, It is an Elite standing infront of what is in fact the Ark's Forge from Halo 3. The Elite's armour is not on we know and so we can assume it might be relevant to one of the factions of sangheelios. This may be Joseph Staten's book as the Shadow of Intent took part in the battle of the Ark in Halo 3. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/community/blog-posts/canon-fodder-novel-ideas
